Dee L. Martinez, MD

Medical Director

Original Skin is proud to have Dr. Dee Martinez as our Medical Director and member of our team. Dr. Martinez has been practicing medicine in Texas for nearly 30 years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology with certification in Diagnostic Radiology. He earned his medical degree from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine located at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in May 1992. He continued on to complete his residency here in Dallas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Passionate about the aesthetics field, Dr. Martinez is an experienced medical aesthetics injector and laser provider. He brings his knowledge and expertise in the cosmetic field to Original Skin, providing patient safety, protocols, training, and a direct line of communication for our staff.

Mary Carson, RN

Founder + Owner

Mary is the owner of Original Skin and a registered nurse with nearly two decades experience in medical aesthetics and dermatology.
 
Before opening Original Skin, Mary was a clinical trainer for CoolSculpting and trained many of the CoolSculpting providers the Dallas area.

Lisa Platon, MPAS, PA-C

Advanced Aesthetic Injector

Lisa grew up in Plano, Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UT Dallas before completing her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2012. After building her clinical foundation in a high-volume urgent care setting, she discovered a passion for aesthetic medicine that has defined her career ever since.Since 2016, Lisa has specialized in aesthetics and is recognized by Allergan as a Master Injector. She performs facial balancing with dermal fillers and full-face and neck Botox, and is certified in RF Microneedling, Skin resurfacing, Photofacials, PRP therapy, and Microneedling. She is also passionate about preventive wellness, specializing in peptide therapy, targeted nutrition, and weight management. 

Fun Fact: Lisa loves exploring National Parks and hitting the trails with her husband and son.

BuddyAnne Stites, LVN

Advanced Nurse Injector

BuddyAnne is a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a rich background in surgical and non-surgical interventions.
 
Formerly the Director of Surgical Services at the Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center of Texas, BuddyAnne’s expertise lies in non-surgical treatments like Dermal Fillers, PDO Threads, and Toxins aimed at combatting the aging process. Having begun her journey in the Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic field in 2005, BuddyAnne’s passion for preventative and anti-aging care led her to over a decade of hands-on experience.
 
Currently residing in the Mid-Cities area with her two sons Ethan & Ricky, she brings a personalized touch to Original Skin. Providing detailed evaluations, facial mapping, and customized treatment plans for each patient with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements, Buddyanne ensures her patients benefit from the most up-to-date products, technology, and techniques in aesthetic care.

Gracie Funnell

Licensed Medical aesthetician

Gracie Funnell is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician with experience in advanced skin care and aesthetic treatments dating back to 2017. Her background includes chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, facials, body contouring and non-ablative laser procedures. She brings a detail-oriented, results-driven approach to improving skin health, texture and clarity.

 

Gracie’s philosophy centers on individualized care. She focuses on understanding each client’s goals and creating customized treatment plans tailored to their needs. Her training includes certifications from CoolSculpting University, Allergan/Zeltiq and the Texas Laser Institute, ensuring a strong foundation in safety, technique and clinical practice.
